Could you be an interpreter for immigrants and refugees?

Are you bilingual and interested in volunteering as an interpreter in immigration law settings? A free training in Worcester offers an opportunity to get involved.

The trainings will cover topics such as:

• The role of the interpreter and best practices;
• Ethics and cultural considerations;
• Overview of immigration law, legal terms and documents related to immigration cases.

We will also do some role-playing, with a focus on best practices to use for an effective and efficient client interview.

The training will be done in two sessions (participants must attend both):

Session 1:
Tuesday, May 23, 5:30 to 8:00 pm

Session 2:
Thursday, May 25, 5:30 to 8:00 pm
