Approximately 160 have been deported
approximately 12 have left following a grant of voluntary departure

"Please, how much longer will this ordeal go on?"

In a letter to the public at large, fourteen women detained in Texas ask, "How much longer will this ordeal go on?"

We call out to the conscience of the whole community and all the institutions of the city of New Bedford: that they may unite as one force with one sentiment of humanitarian support, and help us to get through to the cold heart of the ICE Police so that our freedom can be given back to us in whatever way possible.

We believe that it is no crime to be undocumented and to work honorably, especially when we were doing it for the Armed Forces of the United States. That is why we ask, “Why don’t they take us back to New Bedford?”
