Apply to be an NAIP host site

MIRA offers partnership in the AmeriCorps New American Integration Program for the period of September 5, 2018 – August 3, 2019, with the potential to renew in subsequent years, pending the availability of funding and successful program performance. The partnership opportunity consists of eleven months of AmeriCorps Member Service per Member. NAIP will provide initial training September 5 – October 6 before members begin full-time at their sites on October 9 (members who opt out of TESOL training course will begin at sites on September 10).

The primary goal of NAIP is to expand economic opportunity within refugee and immigrant communities. NAIP leverages AmeriCorps member service to provide: 1) Integrated job readiness training and English for Speakers of Other Languages (VESOL) instruction to refugees and immigrants; and 2) Citizenship assistance. AmeriCorps Members will gain experience in the immigrant and refugee services field under direct supervision from the Host Site, and Host Sites receive expanded capacity to fulfill their respective missions. The selected NAIP host sites will work collaboratively with the NAIP Team to provide the above services.
