Thank you for joining us on Monday, November 24 at the State House for MIRA's annual Thanksgiving Luncheon, Celebrate the Immigrant Family.
Celebrate the Immigrant Family brings together those who cherish their family's immigrant story.  It is a moment of reflection and thanksgiving as we remember the sacrifices immigrants make to realize their American Dream.

Over 350 immigrants and immigrant allies packed the State House's Great Hall.
A traditional Thanksgiving meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans and pumpkin pies was provided by Christopher's Cafe and Catering.
Master of Ceremonies: Paulo Pinto, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers (MAPS) and an immigrant from Portugal.
Eva Millona, MIRA's Executive Director and an immigrant from Albania, and Dr. Gisela Morales-Barreto, MIRA's Board President and an immigrant from Venezuela.
Atsuko Toko Fish, an immigrant from Japan, shares the hardships she faced as a newcomer and her excitement this year in becoming a citizen and voting for her first election.
Evenson Guerrier, an asylee from Haiti who faced religious persecution, shares the many blessings he has received in America.
John Rattigan (Cornelio Lozada accepting in place of John) and Neil Hurley of the Irish Immigration Center were recognized for their dedication in assisting immigrants and refugees in attaining citizenship.
