Policy Advocate
Jonathan Paz (he/him/el) is MIRA’s Policy Advocate, supporting our Policy team. The child of undocumented Bolivian immigrants and a sitting Waltham City Councilor representing the Southside district, Jonathan has worked on a number of state immigrant rights campaigns. These campaigns include the Safe Communities Act, the Work and Family Mobility Act, and the Yes on Four ballot referendum. He was most recently the Organizing Director for Mass Not for Sale, fighting Uber and Lyft’s efforts to undermine workers’ rights and protections in MA. In his spare time, Paz enjoys to dance salsa and play chess. He speaks both Spanish and Portuguese.
