Lindsey Shaffer

Welcoming New Hampshire Coordinator

Lindsey has been involved in the Welcoming movement since 2015. In her current role as Welcoming New Hampshire Coordinator, she assists a statewide coalition of community leaders and organizations as they promote New Hampshire communities that value, celebrate and respect immigrants, refugees and cultural diversity. The Welcoming NH coalition works collectively to share best practices and resources, support existing efforts across the state, and address community and systemic issues through advocacy, conversation and public education. Prior to working with MIRA Coalition and Welcoming NH, Lindsey had been Program Coordinator for Welcoming Manchester in Manchester, NH.

Lindsey is originally from small-town Pennsylvania. She relocated to NH on pure whim and optimism, and she is grateful that NH has been so welcoming to her. She works hard to make sure that everyone in this state has the same opportunity to thrive.

Lindsey has a B.A. in English and Spanish Language with minors in Women’s Studies and International Studies from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.
