Marietta holds a BA in International Relations and a Minor in French Studies from Boston University’s Pardee School of Global Studies. Marietta is originally from New York City, spent 10+ years living in Miami, and now going on five years in Boston. She is part of the 2020-2021 AmeriCorps NAIP class hosted at MIRA Coalition with the Citizenship Team. She found her passion for humanitarian aid over the past few years volunteering and interning part-time at the International Institute of New England, Boston as an Employment Services Intern and ESOL Coach. Marietta is eager to serve in this role full-time to help individuals obtain the legal documentation they need, especially during the COVID-19 global pandemic. She speaks in English and French fluently, and spent 2018 studying and interning abroad in Paris, France. She now works part-time at the French-American Chamber of Commerce, New England as a Communications Coordinator. In her down time, Marietta always has a book in hand, loves practicing yoga & meditation, and being around her pets.
