Rasha Mahmoud (she/her) joined MIRA’s small but dedicated Development team in October 2019, after relocating from New York. Following several years working in the financial services sector, Rasha moved to the West Bank as a Kiva Microfinance Fellow, and stayed to complete her Masters at Bethlehem University. While studying International Development and Cooperation, Rasha managed communication, grants and fundraising for national and international nonprofits operating within the human rights, mental health, and peacebuilding sectors.

With a passion for bringing marginalized voices forward, Rasha works with MIRA’s generous institutional and individual donors to understand the incredible impact they have on people’s lives, and in building a more positive future for “immigrant rich” communities here in Massachusetts.
