Policy update
Termination of CHNV parole
3/31/2025
The Trump Administration has announced that it will end protections for individuals who entered under the CHNV parole program (also referred to as the “Biden program”).
If the termination takes effect, those who entered under the CHNV program will have their parole and their work authorization end on April 24, 2025.
Immigration has said they will prioritize for deportation – including through “expedited removal” – anyone who did not file an application for immigration status before March 25, 2025.
The termination is being challenged in courts and hearings are scheduled for early April. Check back for updates!
