Jamie Berkson (she/her) is MIRA’s Citizenship Specialist. Jamie comes from a background in citizenship services and community engagement organizing in the Eastern Massachusetts non profit network. Beginning in 2023, she coordinated citizenship clinics in partnership with many non profits and communities leaders in Massachusetts and received Department of Justice Accreditation to support her clients on their pathways to U.S. citizenship. Jamie is excited to support MIRA’s mission!

Despite being born and raised in the greater Boston area, Jamie pursued her education at Scripps College, a part of the Claremont College Consortium in Claremont, California. She graduated with a dual degree in Political Studies and Foreign Languages (French and Spanish). After graduating, Jamie was the recipient of a Fulbright grant and spent several years teaching English and cultural competency skills in Galicia, Spain.

In her free time, Jamie loves to cook and bake, especially new recipes. In 2025, she started her journey to try every country’s national dish. She also has a beautiful rescue cat, Sabela, that she loves to dote on!
