Pricilla Cadet
Pricilla Cadet (she/her) is the Immigration Legal Helpline Manager at MIRA, where she leads the organization’s statewide Immigration Legal Helpline. She joined MIRA in October 2023 as a Legal Fellow with the Immigrant Assistance Services (IAS) program, providing legal assistance and support to immigrant families living in Massachusetts emergency assistance shelters. In 2024, she was promoted to lead the helpline, where she oversees daily operations, supervises interns and volunteers, develops legal resources and referral networks, and collaborates with community organizations and legal service providers to expand access to reliable immigration information across Massachusetts.
Pricilla earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Massachusetts School of Law. Prior to law school, she completed a master’s degree in International Relations at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands after earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut. Before pursuing her legal education, she served as Practice Manager at a boutique law firm in Georgia, where she managed firm operations while working closely on family-based immigration and criminal law matters.
In addition to overseeing the helpline, Pricilla develops educational resources, provides immigration information and referrals, and delivers public education presentations and Know Your Rights trainings. She has become a trusted presenter within the immigrant-serving community, leading webinars and trainings on immigration policy changes, humanitarian programs, and legal rights, with a particular focus on serving the Haitian community.
As a first-generation Haitian American, Pricilla’s commitment to this work is both professional and deeply personal. Growing up in a family navigating the U.S. immigration system gave her firsthand insight into the challenges many immigrants face and the profound impact that access to accurate information can have. Those experiences continue to shape her work both inside and outside the office, as she is passionate about helping individuals, families, and communities better understand the immigration system, connect with trusted legal resources, and make informed decisions about their future.
