April is National Volunteer Month — and We’re Grateful

Thank you - MIRA

Every year, many of us choose to give something that can’t be bought: our time. This April, during National Volunteer Month, we want to pause and say thank you to the volunteers who show up for MIRA, for immigrants, and for Massachusetts communities.

Volunteering has always been at the heart of this work. Whether you’re staffing an event or clinic, supporting a campaign, or lending your skills to help us reach more people, your contribution ripples outward in ways you may never fully see, but that truly make a difference.

Right now, that time and energy is needed more than ever. Under the current administration, Massachusetts communities are facing unprecedented fear, uncertainty, and threats to fundamental rights and safety. Engagement isn’t just meaningful. It’s critical. When people choose to show up, advocate, and give their time, they send a clear message: we will not stand idly by and watch while families and communities are torn apart.

To every MIRA volunteer — thank you. You are part of what makes this movement strong.
