MIRA Coalition Responds to Trump Administration’s Elimination of Funding

BOSTON, MA –  In response to the announcement made by the Trump administration eliminating $1 billion in immigrant services, of which the MIRA Coalition previously received $300,000, Elizabeth Sweet, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy (MIRA) Coalition, issued the following statement:

“The Trump administration continues to target immigrants in its ongoing efforts to make the United States as unwelcoming and as difficult to live in as possible. The Massachusetts immigrant community is no stranger to hateful attacks from the Trump administration, and this is no different. The Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition remains committed and energized in our mission to serve, organize, and fight for the rights of our members, communities, and the advancement of immigrants and refugees across the state.”
