Over 1,400 “Hands Off!” mass-action protests were held at state capitols, federal buildings, congressional offices, Social Security’s headquarters, parks and city halls throughout the entire country. Boston alone had almost 100,000 people come out to protest. There were protests in every state, every major city and many smaller ones, US territories and across the globe, including Austria (Vienna), France (Lyon, Nice, Paris), Germany (Berlin and Frankfurt), Mexico (Guadalajara), The Netherlands (Amsterdam), Portugal (Lisbon) and the UK (London). Organizers said over 600,000 people signed up for the protests, but the actual turnout numbers had to be in the millions.

Below you will find coverage of protests in every US state, every major city, as well as Washington D.C., US territories, and other countries. More rallies are planned in the upcoming weeks – stay tuned, and please safely SHOW UP however you are able.

Immigrant rights and civil rights organizations continue to actively respond to policy changes and to take action to protect individuals targeted by the federal administration. Many organizations, including MIRA, are providing updated resources to help immigrants understand their rights amid these changing policies, and community groups have been distributing information and resources at libraries, health centers and other locations. At the local level, individual organizations continue their work despite challenges. Stay tuned for more resources, which are added to our Know Your Rights page as they become available.
