Dawn Miller is MIRA’s new External Affairs Specialist!

Dawn (she/her) was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and moved to Boston to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in sociology at Boston University. While at BU, Dawn worked as a supervisor at the Student Philanthropy Center managing fundraising efforts for various student groups and programs. Upon graduating Dawn worked as a case manager for a diverse group of older adults living with disabilities in the Greater Boston Area, connecting people to community resources and providing the support they need to safely maintain their independence at home.

Dawn was inspired to join MIRA because she is passionate about working to empower and support people in advocating for themselves, and shares a personal connection with MIRA’s mission of promoting the rights of immigrants and refugees as the daughter of an immigrant herself. 

Outside of work, Dawn enjoys live music, crossword puzzles, and cheering for her favorite baseball and ice hockey teams.
